Abstract: (11 Views) |
Rahma (compassion/mercy) is a key term in both the Qur’an and Nahj al-Balagha, encompassing multiple meanings and considered one of the fundamental pillars of social stability. This concept, by offering an Islamic model, contributes to creating peace and reducing social tensions. The main objective of this article is to introduce rahma as a central concept in Islamic teachings and to examine its role in improving social relations and reducing conflicts and tensions among individuals and social groups. The research follows a descriptive-analytical method, and the data collection is library-based, relying on the Qur’anic text, Nahj al-Balagha, and related sources to explore various dimensions of rahma and its impact on human relationships.
By analyzing the teachings found in Nahj al-Balagha, key concepts have been extracted and connected to social and psychological perspectives. The findings of the study indicate that rahma, as a moral and social value, plays a significant role in reducing discord, strengthening empathy, and preventing social violence. It is recommended that practical measures such as organizing educational workshops, cultural and promotional programs centered on rahma, fostering dialogue and empathy, and enhancing mutual understanding among different social groups be implemented. |
