Abstract
The secret of the Messenger of God (PBUH) and its disclosure by one of his wives in verse 3 of Surah Tahrim is one of the topics that has been the subject of controversy among the commentators.
The narrations of the dignity of revelation cited by the commentators of the two sects (from the 6th century until now) in expressing the meaning of the said secret have not only not diminished its complexity, but have also led to attributing inappropriate relations to of the Prophet.
In this article, by judging the context of the first verses of Surah Tahrim and examining the narrations on the status of revelation, the status of revelation has been achieved, which has been considered by Shiite scholars until the fifth century and has been neglected since then.
In this revelation, the meaning of the secret of the Messenger of God (PBUH) is the immediate caliphate of Ali (PBUH) from God, and the actions of others in removing him from the caliphate are introduced. |
